Statement of Significance (as of designation - April 15, 1970):
Completed in 1715 (tower added in 1769), this is the earliest church in the British American colonies to reflect the infusion of English Renaissance style. It is cruciform in style, with a steep gable roof and circular windows in the end walls.

Currently, there are no threats to the landmark

The church has a progessive restoration and maintenance program.
