Statement of Significance (as of designation - November 28, 1972):
This small farmhouse with a plain early Georgian exterior and an elaborate late Georgian interior served as Washington's headquarters from December 1777 to June 1778. Since 1976, it has been included in Valley Forge National Historical Park.
