Statement of Significance (as of designation - June 2, 1978):
This site, the oldest reliably dated location of human occupation in Alaska, reveals evidence that associates man with extinct Pleistocene fauna of Siberia, thus supporting the theory of a land bridge between Asia and Alaska.

Condition:
There are no threats currently to the NHL.

There are no known changes since the last reporting period.

Recommendation/Change since last report:
NPS has not made a recent site visit to Dry Creek.
