Statement of Significance (as of designation - March 29, 2007):
The Price Tower is nationally significant as one of two completed designs for "high-rise buildings during Frank Lloyd WrightÂ’s long career, and the only one that might" be appropriately termed a "skyscraper." It was one of a group of sixteen Wright buildings singled-out in 1959 by the American Institute of Architects and the National Trust for Historic Preservation as his most important "to the nation [and]...which ought to be preserved in their original form."
