Statement of Significance (as of designation - January 7, 1976):
Constructed in 1914, this simple cubical plan structure is one of the best-preserved of the small banks designed by Louis Sullivan late in his career.

Condition:
There is no threat to the NHL at this time.

The NHL is being well maintained and is a source of pride in the community. One of the decorative griffins flanking the front entrance has been removed and is being repaired following an act of vandalism. The other griffin was also damaged and awaits repair.

Recommendation/Change since last report:
The bank should have a condition assessment.
