Statement of Significance (as of designation - October 3, 1985):
This complex at was built in 1965 to support the mission of the National Space Technology Laboratories for rocket propulsion systems. It is important for its role in testing stages of the Saturn V rocket, crucial steps in the effort to put astronauts on the moon. It is still an active part of NASA's Stennis facility.

Condition:
landmark being refurbished for Constellation Program. All changes are coordinated with the SHPO and the NPS and aim to maintain the intergrity of the Landmark while furthering the NASA Constellation mission.

There are no additional changes to the landmark.
