Statement of Significance (as of designation - October 3, 1985):
This complex at was built in 1965 to support the mission of the National Space Technology Laboratories for rocket propulsion systems. It is important for its role in testing stages of the Saturn V rocket, crucial steps in the effort to put astronauts on the moon. It is still an active part of NASA's Stennis facility.

Proposal to remove derricks will require Section 106 process.
