Statement of Significance (as of designation - May 28, 1987):
This group of structures contributed substantially to the development of rustic architecture. Built in 1927, the buildings were tied in with their awesome surroundings because the rounded glacial boulders and logs used in the construction were in proportion with the materials in the surrounding landscape.

Condition:
The NPS PWR has prepared a Cultural Landscape Report for this Landmark park district and is providing oversight in its incremental implementation. The cultural landscape architect shared by the PWR and the park provides regular technical assistance in project development and implementation on this landmark site, as well as on other park landmark sites and National Register properties.

There have been no changes to the landmark since the last reporting period.
