Statement of Significance (as of designation - April 19, 1993):
Nauset Archeological District consists of a group of sites located within Cape Cod National Seashore which contain deposits dating to the Historic Contact Period. References to some or all of these sites are found in the journals of European explorers who visited the area in the early 17th century.

Condition:
One disturbed area with minor erosion to be reseeded as time and funding allow.

Sites are monitored by park archeologist.
