Statement of Significance (as of designation - July 4, 1961):
From about 1790 to 1808, this 2-1/2 story brick house was Zachary Taylor's boyhood home, as well as the scene of his marriage in 1810. Taylor (1784-1850) returned here often during his military career and briefly again before his short term as the 12th President of the United States (1849-1850).

Condition:
Excellent condition.

No changes since the last report. Just repainted and looking great.
