Statement of Significance (as of designation - December 19, 1960):
This is the only home ever owned by Alexander Hamilton, who was among the important proponents of the Constitution and provided brilliant leadership as the first Secretary of the Treasury. It is a two-story frame house that has been moved from its original location.

Condition:
There are no threats to the landmark at this time.

Hamilton Grange moved on June 7, 2008 to St. Nicholas Park. On-going restortaion to the house is taking place.
