Statement of Significance (as of designation - January 29, 1964):
This is the birthplace and boyhood home of William Howard Taft (1857-1930), 27th President of the United States (1909-1913), a distinguished jurist who also served as Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

There are no threats at this time..

New sidewalk being completed to connect overflow parking lot to the site. New driveway to be installed at a later date.
