Statement of Significance (as of designation - July 4, 1961):
Victorian-style structure, used by the Creeks from 1878 to 1907, after their adoption of a representative form of government modeled on the United States Congress.
Condition:
The landmark is in good condition.
The museum is operated by the Creek Council House Museum Association (CCHMA) who has received grants from the Viersen Family Foundation and the Oklahoma Arts Council for various programs throughout the year.
