Statement of Significance (as of designation - January 29, 1964):
Covering a 100-acre area, this site is the northeastern-most extension of the Mississippian culture, which flourished in the period AD 1000-1600. The mounds now form a State Park.

Condition:
To the best of our knowledge, the structures are in the same general condition they were in during the last reporting period.

Routine maintenance to clear results of weather-incurred debris.
