Statement of Significance (as of designation - December 24, 1967):
Only 18th-century farmhouse extant on Manhattan Island. Flemish Colonial style, built with fieldstone, brick, and clapboard.

The Dyckman Farmhouse Museum recently re-opened to the public after a major restoration project.
