Statement of Significance (as of designation - May 23, 1968):
From 1900 to 1909, this 13 acre farm was the home of Robert Frost (1874-1963), one of the few 20th century poets to command both critical respect and wide readership. Frost authored 11 volumes of poetry, and on four occasions won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry (1924, '31, '37, and '43).
