Statement of Significance (as of designation - May 4, 1983):
Alexander Stephens, the Vice-President of the Confederate States of America, who also enjoyed a remarkable political career before and after the Civil War, lived at his Liberty Hall estate from 1834 until his death in 1883.

Condition:
There are no threats to the landmark.

Liberty Hall was repainted last year. A.H. Stephens State park won the " Most outstanding Maintenance Operation".
