Statement of Significance (as of designation - April 15, 1970):
Built c. 1802, this was the residence of Pierre Menard, a successful trader who was active in State politics. Menard used the stone basement of this French Colonial raised cottage to store his trade goods.

There are no threats to the landmark at this time.
